“Those Frustrating Kitten Diarrheas”
Dr. Scorza is interested in feline infectious diseases and zoonoses, specifically in two protozoan parasites: Cryptosporidium spp. and Giardia spp. She is currently a Post-Doctoral fellow in Dr. Lappin’s laboratory at Colorado State University.
Jody Gookin, DVM, PhD (North Carolina State University)
“Update on Feline Tritrichomonas”
Dr. Gookin’s laboratory is focused on the study of two enteric protozoal pathogens; Cryptosporidium parvum and Tritrichomonas foetus. Her laboratory collaborates extensively with the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Laboratories of Drs. Mike Levy and Edward Breitschwerdt.
