Alfred Legendre, DVM, PhD, DACVIM
Dr. Legendre is Professor of Internal Medicine & Oncology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tennessee. He has been involved in small animal research and teaching for over 30 years with special interest in feline infectious diseases. He has received numerous awards, such as the Mark L. Morris Lifetime Achievement Award and the Dr. Robert B. Krik Distinguished Service Award. He has a grant from Winn to study polyprenyl immunostimulant for the treatment of dry FIP.
Niels C. Pedersen, DVM, PhD
Dr. Pedersen is the director of the Center for Companion Animal Health and the Veternary Genetics Laboratory, University of California, Davis. A teacher for over 30 years, he also has over 240 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including over 40 on FIP. Dr. Pedersen has received numerous awards and has written two classic textbooks. He was the first recipient of CFA's annual award for contributions to the health of cats and remains active in consultation and research on infectious diseases and genetics.
