2009 Winn Feline Health Grants Announced
Winn's expert grant review panel evaluated 36 proposals submitted for 2009 funding, and selected 12 projects for a total of $127,411. These projects will advance knowledge in areas such as heart disease, kidney disease, FIP, genetics, drug therapy, and diabetes.
AVMF/Winn Veterinary Student Scholarship Announced
Winn has partnered with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation to provide a special scholarship award of $2500 for a student whose primary educational focus is related to feline health and welfare.
Winn Excellence in Feline Research Award Announced
Dr. Michael Lappin of Colorado State University is the 2009 recipient of this award in recognition of his work in feline medicine. Dr. Lappin’s research mirrors Winn’s efforts to improve the lives of “Every Cat, Every Day.”
HomeAgain & Winn Partner to Help Lost Cats
For the second year in a row, the HomeAgain Pet Recovery Service has pledged to donate $1 toward feline health research for every new cat microchipped and enrolled from June to August 2009.
