Shila Nordone, MS, PhD

Dr. Shila Nordone graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in animal science, then completed her MS degree at Iowa State University in nutritional physiology. She received her PhD in immunology at NC State in 2000. Dr. Nordone is currently a Research Assistant Professor and instructor in veterinary immunology at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. She is the recipient of many honors, including the Iowa State University "Excellence in Graduate Teaching" award. Dr. Nordone has participated in research projects and authored papers on human immunodeficiency virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and Bartonella henselae.

Patricia Gallo, DVM, PhD

Dr. Patricia Gallo graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She completed a MS degree at Purdue University in nutritional sciences and a PhD in nutrional biochemistry at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Gallo has been the owner of T.H.E. Boston Cat Hospital since 1994. She is a member and former Board of Directors member of the American Assoc. of Feline Practitioners, and served on their research grant committee since 1995. Dr. Gallo has authored publications on the effects of nutrition on behavior and participated in feline clinical research trials.
