AVMF/Winn Veterinary Student Scholarship Announced
This year, through its annual veterinary student scholarship program, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation will award 20 scholarships at $1,000 each to Student AVMA members enrolled in their first, second, or third year at an AVMA-accredited veterinary college or school in the United States. Applications are due by May 15, 2009.
Winn has partnered with AVMF to provide an additional $2,500 scholarship award for a student whose primary educational focus is related to feline health and welfare. If you or someone you know is interested in this award, please include a separate essay (200 words or less) – along with your AVMF student application essay – that specifically addresses your particular interest in feline veterinary medicine. The deadline for application and/or addition of feline essay to an application already submitted has been extended to June 15, 2009.
The 2009 Student Scholarship application form is available on the AVMF website. Recipients will be notified by letter by Sept. 15.
